In late February 2012, I engaged with the Twitter account of Al Jazeera’s The Stream programme on the call for a death sentence Saudi journalist Hamza Kashgari. After a couple of tweets, I was asked to record my comments on a video to be used as a discussion point in the show.

Every month, Going Places magazine – the inflight magazine for Malaysian Airlines – runs a column featuring things to do in different cities called 12 Hours. In conjunction with its Valentine’s Day issue in February 2012, I suggest some things to do during a holiday in Prague, Czech Republic.

Going Places magazine – the inflight magazine for Malaysian Airlines – runs a monthly column called 12 Hours, which suggests to readers things they could do in a different city. January 2012′s issue of the magazine had an education focus, so I took a train up to Cambridge in the United Kingdom and wrote this story.

Late last year, I was invited by Melissa Kong, the 2011/2012 editor of CEKU (the online publication of the United Kingdom and Eire Council of Malaysian Students) to guest write a keynote article for its December issue on student activism. It would be the first edition after a makeover of the site as well.

I was invited to write a commentary for the December issue of Esquire Malaysia on Asyraf Haziq, the young Malaysian student who was caught on YouTube falling victim to rioters and looters during the summer London riots in 2011.
